Hello November!

Wednesday Travis, Baby T, and I went to visit Dr. Chut. We had our much anticipated ultrasound...but we really couldn't see a thing! Everything looks good though - Baby T is head down, fluid levels look good, etc. The u/s estimated him to weigh 5 pounds and 12 ounces, and his measurements were between 34 and 35 weeks (we are 36 weeks and 4 days today). I was surprised! I don't know why...I kept imagining that he was a big baby in there! Turns out he's just a little peanut (for now) as his measurements were in the 30th percentile for his gestational age. No matter - he's very healthy! and will continue to gain weight these next few weeks. And it's all estimates, so we'll see how much he ends up weighing for sure when he decides he's ready to meet everyone. He didn't seem to mind the u/s too much, but he wasn't willing to let us see much of his sweet face. He had one little fist up kinda under his chin and also had his chin tucked down. One interesting thing we did find out...his back is to my front and a bit over to my left, but his legs aren't crossed. This little guy isn't shy! He's Mr. Spreadeagle in there! That explains why I kept thinking he was flipping sides...I can feel feet on both of my sides at different times. Dr. Chut and Joy, our doula, both think that maybe he's dropped just a little. We go back Thursday for our weekly visits.

Grangie arrived last night. We are busy busy busy this weekend washing clothes, shopping for last minute supplies, getting everything set up, etc.! Daddy also has a few more pieces of furniture to put together. Pics of the baby room to be posted soon (oh, and hopefully in a week or so of our finished basement as well!).
