CIC is Having Babies!

Way back in 2005, an acronym was created...CIC! For those of you that don't know, this stands for Cousins in Colorado. My Aunt Janet came up with it. During the summer of 2005, I had just moved in with Annie in her apartment in Fort Collins. Candice had just moved to Fort Collins from Arizona, and Carey had just accepted a teaching position in Boulder. We all were in the middle of different experiences in our lives. Candice and I were both working at CSU, Annie was in her Construction Mgt program at CSU, and Carey was teaching HS for the first time. We had many great, crazy, wonderful times together. We all kind of came together for each other when we needed it the most. Carey, Candice, and I started dating our future husbands (Matt, David, and Travis) during this time period. Annie graduated from CSU and was ready to take on the construction world in whatever location required it! It really was a fun time in our lives!

Since then, there are only two of us (Carey and I) left in Colorado. But...we still love to say CIC. Brings back good memories. Candice is back in Upton, and Annie is currently in Wisconsin after a stint in Connecticut and Colorado. And now...CIC is having babies! I'm due 11/29, Carey is due 2/4, and Candice is due 2/19. We are hoping Annie returns to the Rocky Mountain area soon, and since she's the youngest of us, we hope she takes her time and gets married when she finds the perfect man (which...maybe she has, we're not sure), and then has a little CIC baby!


It's crazy how life works out. We certainly didn't plan this, but our little babies will be so close in age! I told Travis our little Baby T will think he's the boss of all of them since he's a whole 2-3 months older! I love experiencing all of this with my close friends and cousins. What an awesome journey.
