Doctor's Appt Update

Baby T and I saw Dr. Gavigan yesterday for our monthly checkup. We had to also drink a super sugary fruit punch drink an hour before the appt to get screened for glucose levels. The drink was so gross! It was like thick flat pop or worse, cough syrup! I had Travis try a little and he didn't think it was too bad...but he only had a sip! It was giving me the shivers! Ewww!

We saw Dr. Gavigan this time as Dr Chut, our regular doctor, is on maternity leave with her 3rd baby boy. Dr. Gavigan was very nice. He said everything looked "beautiful and perfectly healthy". Baby T and I were measuring right at 26 weeks, which makes sense because we're always a few days ahead. Dr. Gavigan said that was perfect. Baby's heartrate was 152, so at least I know the sugary drink didn't get him all revved up or anything! We didn't get the glucose results back immediately, but the doctor didn't foresee any problems since everything else is so healthy. He said the baby was head down yesterday, but that could still change for a few more weeks. I thought he was! I am pretty sure I've seen some little heels kicking up pretty high!

Baby T is so active! He loves the evenings when I get home from work, and then when Daddy gets home too. He really takes off! Last night Travis was all about getting updates on the MWC shakeups. So, we had several press conferences on the TV, and Travis was letting me know all the updates from Twitter. Baby T was loving all the action. Ha. I think he got turned a bit sideways by the time I went to bed and was doing both kicking and punching, and I think turning his head. I imagine he was probably thinking something like, "Mama! I told you I needed to hear the rest of the MWC Commissioner's comments! And what was the Rockies score anyway? I'm not ready for bed yet!" He definitely seems to be pretty aware of what's going on around him.

We have our big Materi Family Reunion at Mallo Camp this weekend. I can't wait! I'm sure I'll have a lot of pictures to post from that!
