Houston was four months old on Tuesday, the 22nd. Four months! Wow - how did this happen? It's gone so fast already! Our little man is rolling over all the time now. He hasn't mastered the tummy to back roll yet though, so he just pops over from back to tummy and then immediately starts growling and grunting and yelling as he tries to crawl. He's started making so many new sounds. Just this past weekend (with the help of Auntie Heather), he started making sounds kinda like how someone would say "whoo hoo!" or "ohhhh!". It's very cute. His favorite sound is still the "kkkkk" with lots of spit bubbles. In fact I think it's possible he thinks "kkkkk" is Travis's name! Whenever he sees Travis first thing in the morning or when he gets home from work he gets a big smile on his face and says "kkkkkk"!
In case you haven't heard, I resigned from my position with First Data at the beginning of February. I LOVE being Houston's mom and caring for him everyday. There is nothing more important to me. My boss and co-workers were pretty understanding - I don't think they were very surprised. What a freeing feeling the day I told them I wasn't coming back! I haven't given work a second thought since then.
We are loving that spring is here! However, we could do without the wind. Houston gasps whenever the breeze hits his face whether it's cold/warm/strong/light. He does like walks though, as long as he's in the big boy part of the stroller sitting up and facing out and not in the car seat part - he still hates his car seat! We are able to run small errands around Parker and he does fine. But...anything over ten minutes or so and he starts getting pretty mad.
We have his four month checkup (and dreaded shots!) on Tuesday. I am excited to see his weight and height measurements. I know he's very healthy as you can see by his little rolls!
